German designer Sebastian Herkner collaborated with the traditional household producer The Schwäbische Jungfrau.
During Passionswege at Vienna Design Week last month, Sebastian Herkner created original graphical project for Vienna-based household producer The Schwäbische Jungfrau which was founded in 1720.
Famous for its high-quality bed and table linen with the embroidered monograms, The Schwäbische Jungfrau belongs to the historical viennese craft heritage. Herkner presented project called Imprint based on the short-lived monograms imprinted into linen by metal letters using steam. The monograms were imprinted into the material during the personal design performance and can be short-lived modern alternative to the very expansive embroidered monograms.
