Father of Italian design and mid-century elegance Gio Ponti also designed several churches around Milan. Few years ago we have visited this one in the areal of San Carlo hospital.

Designed and built between 1964 and 1966 by Ponti and his colleagues Antonio Fornaroli, Alberto Rosselli, Santa Maria Annunciata church is the monumental crystal look like structure with the diamond-shaped windows and other details including the tiles, so typical for Gio's 1960s architectural style.
