Paper is becoming the durable material for the fashion industry. In the field of bag design, paper represents the new and fresh way of use material and design approach to fashion accessories. The forms of the paper bags show principles of the product design more than creating the classic fashion stuff influenced by trends and fashion styles.

Here you can see actual works by Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa, German designers Saskia and Stefan Diez and dutch Ilvy Jacobs who specializes in bag design.

Fukasawa designed his very simple Siwa paper collection for the Japanese Label Onao using its special paper called Noaton in different ways.

Jewelry designer Saskia Diez and her husband Stefan collaborated on the Papier collection which is made out of Tyvek, a synthetic paper that is extremely lightweight. They wanted to make the durable travel bags with classic typology, but from the totally different material than usually.

Young Dutch bags specialist Ilvy Jacops experiments with many materials in her work. For her graduation project she chose the crumbled up paper and tyvek, too.
