Last year we have visited one of the finest modernist landmarks of Como lake region. Pietro Lingeri's Villa Amila is a beautiful building shaped like boat.

Located in small village of Tremezzo at Como lake, Villa Amila was designed by Italian modernist Pietro Lingeri (1894–1968) for Associazione Motonautica Italiana Lario (AMILA) in 1927 and presents one of the earliest Italian Rationalist buidlings. Streamlined form of the club for association of motor boat sport, was inspired by boats and their typical features like round windows, terraces or railings.

Lingeri made some changes on the design until 1947. He also designed diving platform on the shore of the lake
