In the former studio of Czech sculptor Věra Janoušková (1922 - 2010) we have found this amazing series of the New Year cards created by Czech artist Ivan Kafka.
Kafka, born in 1952, belongs to the postwar avant-garde generation of Czech artists working with installations, objects and land art. Mainly land art and site-specific installations became his prime mediums when he multiplied objects in the landscape to create visually impressive installations.
These intimate and personal paper objects of New Year cards document his abstract vision of art. Each is different and each plays with the forms in similar way.
