Riccardo Tisci, creative director of Givenchy, was inspired by Carlo Mollino and organic Italian 1950s design to create this sculptural sandals.

Including in the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, these sandals highlight with the original combination of materials and its construction. It resembles materiality and construction forms of the organic Italian design including work of Carlo Mollino and others. Sandals feature plywood, brass and plastic. The joints are similar to the delicate brass joining in the mannerist work of Mollino, Graffi & Campo or Melchiorre Bega, whose work you can see above.
