Standing between geometry and decoration. This is the 1970s work by French designers Kim Moltzer and Jean-Paul Barray.

Their furniture and lightning designed under the label of ECFI represent the greatest time of the French decorative interior design. Working mainly in the pure steel and aluminum, Kim Moltzer and Jean-Paul Barray`s pieces are similar to the furniture by Maria Pergay, Michel Boyer or Francois Monnet.

But Moltzer and Barray are a little bit different. Their visual language is based on the connection of the strictly geometric forms related to the high-tech aesthetic with luxury materials and use. All three pieces featuring here have these qualities. The bookshelves was designed only by Moltzer.
