London-based Spanish designer Oscar Diaz is working on the edge of the product design, technical innovations and conceptual thinking. We love his work, which is based on the combination of the typology of the everyday use products with new creative attitude for the materialization of these everyday functions and ordinary things.

Oscar is also one of our global collaborators in the Next Step issue of our OKOLO magazine.

Last year Oscar was working on the design of the shopping bag. This idea has developed in the two quite similar but different designs. One of them is called Glueline and was designed in the spring 2010 for the Foodmarketo exhibition ,a partnership project by Apartamento magazine and Designmarketo during the Milan Furniture Fair 2010. As a functional and constructive elements, as well as decoration, the wide straps are joined by the rubber.

The second bag called Wireframe is a development of the Glueline and is made out of Standard polyester straps, PVC mesh, rubber and plastic rivets. Together these components make a bag very strong.
