We love functional objects that look like extravagant sculptures. You find "everyday sculpture" in these Giuseppe Zanotti wedges as well.

Suede Spiked Sculptural wedges designed by Zanotti for his fall/winter 12-13 collection are weareble pieces of decorative brutalist beauty.

We have found this pair of scissors in the collection of our friend and founder of Cohn Auction Jan "JJ" Jaroš.

Designed in 1928 in the distinctive functionalist Bauhaus style, this pair of scissors made by Pfeiling in Solingen is a great example of the modernist aesthetic in the simplest form. The object is part of the permanent collection of Victoria & Albert museum in London. The series includes letter opener as well.

Venice Architecture Biennale starts this week. It is the best time to racapitulate architectural projects by master of masters Carlo Scarpa at Giardini, the main venue of the biennale exhibition which was directed by David Chipperfield this year.

Work of Carlo Scarpa (1906–1978) is notoriously linked to Venice. Despite this, his work at Giardini belongs to his lesser known projects constructed in the city. Including ticket kiosk and Giardino delle Sculture, both from 1952 and exhibition pavilion of Venezuela built between 1954 - 1956, the projects reflect his mastery of work with materials and details again.

Our favorite design studio of Big Game has presented several new projects this year. We are big fans of their humoristic neo-modernist style very much, so their last studio catalogue is must-have in our collection.

Brochure with their classics as well as last four projects including Spot lamp, Press door handle and Chink money box or Pen memory stick, both for Hong Kong-based company Praxis, is a great composition of the great photos, products and colors. All products highlight in the elementary shapes with the minimalistic sense for poesy and compositions.

Colorful side of new projects si complementing by almost monochromatic pictures of their older products such as Bold chair, Work lamp or Bote and others.

Designed by total unknown designers Max Claudet and Paul Zins from Venezuela during the 1950s, this spectacular lightning object is architecture of the light.

Produced by Swedish Sandqvist, the larger Lars-Göran backpack caught our eyes very much.

You know how we like great backpacks as great symbiosis of fashion and ultimate function. Swedish brand Sanqvist knows a lot about it. Established in 2004 by Anton Sandqvist, the brand was born from passion for good products and great lifestyle connecting natural and urban landscape.

Lars-Göran backpack is a nice symbiosis of classic vintage shape and contemporary colorful detailing.

Our friend and great typographer, Prague-based Tomáš Brousil of Suitcase Type Foundry has created this extremely realistic drawing of the Fokker airplane in his free time.

Airplanes are big passion for Tomáš who is one of the most interesting makers of typefaces of our time. His digital drawing presents one of the famous fight airplanes of the World War I.
